Set Free to Speak: A Call to Boldness in the Midst of Misunderstanding

Breaking Free to Speak

There are moments when God reveals that the chains holding us back are not external—but internal. Old beliefs. Man-made religion. Fear of being misunderstood. Shame wrapped in tradition. But Jesus doesn’t leave us there. He comes to set the captives free—even when the prison is built from our own fear and the opinions of others.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

– Galatians 5:1 (NIV)

This truth was revealed to me, through a dream! God speaks so clearly, during my travels! Excited to share with you, our readers!

When seeking God for the meaning of my dream, I believe He said, "Your dream is a prophetic picture not just for you, but for many: God is calling His people out of the religious cages that silence their voice. And He is saying, “Now speak.”

Even When Others Reject, the Calling Remains:

Just like Paul in Ephesus, when one door closed, the call didn’t end—it simply shifted.

Paul didn’t debate endlessly with those who resisted truth. He moved and kept preaching. He carried the flame into places that were ready to receive.

“But when some became stubborn and continued in unbelief, speaking evil of the Way before the congregation, he withdrew… reasoning daily in the hall of Tyrannus.”

– Acts 19:9 (ESV)

If others have misunderstood you… if they’ve dismissed your passion, criticized your calling, or boxed you into their comfort zone—don’t shrink back. You were never meant to carry their approval. You were meant to carry His fire.

To the One Who Feels Silenced or Misunderstood:

God sees your heart. He knows the tears you’ve cried, the times you’ve stayed quiet when you had a word to speak, the times your passion for His Kingdom was mistaken for rebellion or pride. He gave you that voice. Not to be silenced—but to set captives free.

“Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. Then the Lord reached out His hand and touched my mouth and said to me, ‘I have put my words in your mouth.’”

– Jeremiah 1:8–9 (NIV)

“Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.”

– 2 Corinthians 3:12 (NIV)

You don’t need to water it down. Time is short. The world is hungry for real truth, real love, and real Jesus—not a safe, sanitized version. Speak boldly, in love, but with fire.

A Prayer of Activation:

Lord, thank You for revealing the chains I didn’t even know I was still wearing. Thank You for setting me free, for calling me to speak, and for placing Your words in my mouth. I receive this commissioning to walk boldly in what You’ve given me, regardless of who approves or understands. For Your glory, I will not hold back. Empower those who are still afraid—wrap them in Your courage and set their voices free. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
