Change Leads to Growth

You don’t retire from your call; you reignite others into theirs.
You don’t retire from your call; you reignite others into theirs.

Change is never comfortable, yet it is often the very tool God uses to grow us. When we surrender to His hand, we discover that what feels like loss or shifting ground is really an invitation to become more like Him.

“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory.”

— 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV)

Our calling and assignments from the Lord do not end until we take our very last breath. The world teaches us that when we gain experience, we eventually retire and step aside, but in God’s kingdom, there is no retirement from His purposes. Every season holds new assignments, new growth, and new opportunities to reflect His glory.

“The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green.”

— Psalm 92:12–14 (NIV)

We often misunderstand our calling by comparing it to a worldly career. In the world, you rise through positions, train someone to replace you, and step away. But in God’s kingdom, it’s different, you never pass your baton. Instead, you help others discover that God has placed a baton uniquely shaped for their hands.

Your obedience, your endurance, your faith, they all create a legacy that multiplies. You don’t retire from your call; you reignite others into theirs.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

— Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

Our greatest challenge is remembering how big our God truly is, big enough to give each of us an ongoing role in His story. There’s no “finished” until He calls us home. So we keep showing up, keep loving, keep serving, keep growing.

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

— Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

A Heartfelt Prayer

Lord,

Thank You for never being done with us. Thank You that every change, even the hard ones, are steps toward becoming who You designed us to be.

I pray You surround me with women ahead of me in their journey, women chasing after You with all their hearts. Let them pull me higher, teach me, and inspire me to keep pressing on.

And as they pull me up, may I reach back and pull thousands more, women who are waiting to discover their purpose, to step into their calling, to say yes to You.

May we never grow weary, Lord, but keep our eyes fixed on You, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

In Jesus’ mighty name,

Amen.

Let’s GO,

Tricia
